This is a really nice hotel in a quiet area. It's clearly undergone a refurbishment which means the hotel has character but the rooms are clean and well-appointed and the beds exceptionally comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, their chef was sick the night we visited but they had arranged for light meals to be provided. Alternatively, there were plenty of restaurants a short drive away. There is limited free parking or paid, secure parking underneath the hotel. We paid €10 to have our dog with us and we're surprised to find a large dog bed and bowls left outside our room when usually we receive no such service and just an increased bill. Definitely plan to stopover again.

I liked the USB phone chargers integrated into the wall lamps next to the beds (just remember that to charge you need to press the main light switch but then you can turn off the bulb on the light itself). The staff are very friendly and helpful. There was a mini-safe in the room and ventilation in the bathroom. The black-out curtains worked nicely and kept the room dark in the evening and morning.
